52 Ayrton Diablo for leading pop club Milky Way Amsterdam

Located at the heart of Amsterdam’s famous nightlife, the Melkweg (Milky Way) venue hosts major concerts, performances and acts. With 3 venues under one roof the variety in artists and audience is well known worldwide.

Recently Milky Way celebrated a major upgrade in their lighting grids, adding 52 Ayrton Diablo’s supplied by full-service consultant Airlight, headed by Ruud Pouwels.

Pouwels, with a rich experience as lighting engineer, for many years now serves as a lighting consultant for theatres and clubs, providing a full and carefree package of lighting services including a 24/7 technical backup. Assisting customers in selecting, commissioning and servicing the equipment Ruud explains the choice for the Diablo’s:

“Besides the obvious build quality, output and features, we faced two other important criteria: The fixture should be internationally accepted and rider-friendly, and -since the fixtures are hung on a fixed grid- they have to be so light that it can be handled by one engineer using a manlift.
