Eurovision Song Contest
The trophy for Israel was the apotheosis of the grand final of the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, during which Ampco Flashlight played a significant role as provider of all light, rigging and motion. The preparations, which started in fall 2017, resulted in a six week construction period on location and two weeks of rehearsals, live broadcasts and a load-out which was realized in only sixty hours. All this in collaboration with Portuguese partner Pixel-Light and executed with over 2500 luminaires, four kilometers of truss and an enormous amount of cables, dimmers and distros, all controlled by an advanced data network.
